Dark and difficult times lie ahead. Soon we must all face the choice

between what is right and what is easy.

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is going through rough times, You-Know-Who is attacking again but this time he is stronger than ever. Harry Potter can’t defend the whole school on his own but you knowNo good sittin’ worryin’ abou’ it. What’s comin’ will come, an’ we’ll meet it when it does. .

Harry doesn’t have to face the dark lord on his own, for you are prepared to pick up your wand and fight in the ultimate battle.

Don’t think that you can’t do it; It is our choices, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.

The sessions you attended all semester have magically turned into spells to help you defeat the great evil we are about to witness.

Unfortunately we are running out of time so you have to practice your spells day and night in order to master them.

Worry not, we are not heading into the battlefield blind; the most prodigious professor Albus Dumbledore has left us clues to help us defend Hogwarts:

Clue one: the war will take place from Friday the 10th of Feb till Thursday the 16th of Feb.

Clue two: an online battle will be held to qualify you to an offline contest (The Ultimate Battle).

Clue three: to be a part of the magical army who will participate in the upcoming battles, you need to fill this form:

The form deadline is Sunday the 12th of Feb at 11:59 pm.

Always remember:

It is important,to fight, and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then could evil be kept at bay, though never quite eradicated.

Local Contest'16 Poster

Once upon a time, there were three coders who loved dark magic.

They were full of hate against all coders around the world because they always felt that they are the best coders ever. One year they decided to write a piece of code that can make a spell to turn humans into ice creatures so that they transform all the participants in the ICPCogwarts (the place where all great coders from all over the world compete with each other) and no one remains but them. However, their ego blinded them and they made a mistake that made the spell backfired on them and they became a penguin, a white bear and a weddell seal. They tried to reverse the spell but they couldn’t as the only way to do so is to earn the title of “The Best Coders Ever” as they wrote their piece of code.

So, their only chance was to reach the ICPCogwarts and win its contest to earn that title. But, it wasn’t that easy as they must first pass all the contests that qualifies gradually to the ICPC starting from the local contest. That’s why they will participate this year in the local contest. And for their jealousy, they took a vow that if any team is better than them and scores a higher rank, they will abandon the prairie forever and go to live in the North Pole (the Arctic) as they don't deserve to earn that title anymore. And to peeve them, the local contest organizers decided to set the theme of the contest as the North and the South Poles with the creatures living in them.

As problem solvers, it’s your role to prove that you are better coders than them as it’s the only way to stop their evil and not to let them step further more to ICPCogwarts. Only God knows what they can do to the world if they reached it.

So, train hard and remember the following rules:

1- Gather a team of 3 members and pick up a name for the team.

2- Only one of the team members can register in the following link.

3- If you participated in any previous local contest, please register with the same email you used to register before and if it’s not available you can register with a different one.

4- The registration deadline is on Wednesday the 16th of September at 11:59 pm so hurry up!

5- It’s not allowed to change the team members nor the team name so make sure you choose them carefully.

The contest will be held on Thursday the 1st of October at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science in Ain-Shams University.

And finally, be brave and keep in mind that:

Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light.

And finally here is the Local Contest'15 final Scoreboard ..

Once upon time there was a kid called “Codo”. He loved anime and manga very much. He had always been dreaming of going on an adventure just like them but, he never knew how to do that in reality.,

One day, Codo was surfing the internet and found a very attractive announcement by a non-profit organization called “acmASCIS” saying: “Live the adventure of fantasy and reality together for the first time ever!” and as soon as Codo read this, he suddenly turned into a Super Saiyan with power level over 999999999 and felt very excited to know more about that so, he decided to check out the announcement,

When Codo visited the website, he found that the organization is setting its famous event “Level 1 Contest’15” that takes place every year to qualify trainees from level 1 to level 2 in Junior Programming Training but, this year with a new system that will mix between “fantasy” and “reality” as the event description was saying:

Since past years, people used to live the adventure of reality only as they were just meeting in
one place and competing with each other through a battle of an offline contest
where only persevering competitors made it to the next level.
But, why don’t we double the excitement ?
That’s exactly what we mean by the “fantasy adventure
This year there will be an online contest before the offline one
Is that all ?
To make it even more exciting, we’ve decided to make the online contest  a qualification
stage in itself, it will qualify to the reality adventure “the offline contestso now, to wake
up to the reality adventure you have to pass the online contest first.
So, are you ready to take the adventure of #Road_To_Level_II ?
Well, join us right away and let your actions speak for you!
Regarding the contests:
Details about the online contest will be posted soon so, stay tuned.
The offline contest will take place on Wednesday the 4th of February @ 08:30 am
One more important thing, for the offline contest you have to register here.
The registration deadline is : Saturday 31/1 @ 06:00 p.m so, hurry up!

And, after Codo read the description he remembered Detective Conan, who never faced a case he couldn’t solve,no matter how hard it seemed, and Hanamichi Sakuragi who never let Kaede Rukawa or any other basketball player be better than him, and as Codo was into the Computer Science field, he promptly decided to join the event and accept the challenge.

Will he succeed ? Well, it depends on remembering the magical key:
